This is a close up of a very content magnolia tree who lives at Morton Arboretum, Lisle, Illinois. He had some kind of problem with a branch – and a tree surgeon very neatly cut off the source of the problem, which allowed the tree to continue on. Kinda like humans, who are happy to eat well, take their vitamins – then break a leg and need a surgeon to fix things up. Same with trees!
