Come prepared to laugh, ask questions, look closely, and leave seeing the natural world a little differently than when you arrived.
Presentations | Discover the Hidden Life of Nature
Every presentation begins with a simple invitation: to look at the natural world a little differently.
For more than twenty years I have photographed and documented the remarkable personalities and communities of nature beings who share our cities, forests, gardens, parks, and landscapes. Along the way I discovered that learning to see is every bit as exciting as taking the photograph.
My presentations are filled with beautiful images, surprising stories, practical techniques, audience participation, and plenty of laughter. Whether your interests lie in gardening, photography, dowsing, consciousness, or simply enjoying an entertaining evening, I invite you to discover a richer relationship with the living world around you.
I don’t ask audiences to accept my conclusions. Instead, I share what I have observed, how I document it, and what the nature beings themselves have taught me through more than twenty years of friendship. Each person is free to decide what these experiences mean for them.
My hope is that audiences leave with two gifts: a renewed sense of wonder about the natural world, and a deeper appreciation that caring for Earth begins with relationship. We protect what we come to know, and we come to know what we learn to see.
LET’S CREATE THE RIGHT EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR GROUP
Presentations may be scheduled individually or combined into half-day or full-day programs. Many organizations choose to pair an illustrated presentation with a guided field workshop or a photographic exhibition and gallery talk.
Whether you’re planning an evening presentation, conference keynote, gallery exhibition, guided field workshop, or community event, I’d be delighted to work with you to create an experience especially suited to your audience. Programs may be customized for the interests, schedule, and needs of your organization.
Available throughout the greater Philadelphia region for in-person presentations, and worldwide via Zoom.
WAYS WE CAN EXPLORE TOGETHER
lEARNING TO see with a camera
Photography Presentation
Photography changed my life in ways I never expected. This richly illustrated presentation shares the techniques I use to observe, photograph, and document the remarkable personalities and patterns hidden within the natural world.
Whether you are an experienced photographer or simply enjoy beautiful images, this presentation will encourage you to slow down, observe more carefully, and discover that nature has far more to show us than we usually notice.
Perfect for: Camera clubs, photography conferences, art centers, libraries, and general audiences.
Learning to See Nature Differently
Guided Field Workshop
Now let’s put those ideas into practice.
Join me outdoors for a relaxed, small-group experience where I share the observational skills I have developed through more than twenty years of working with the nature beings.
Bring your camera or cell phone. As you begin recognizing the personalities and patterns hidden within the landscape, you’ll record your own discoveries while developing a new way of seeing that you can continue exploring long after the workshop has ended.
Every participant sees differently. My role is not to tell you what to see, but to help you notice what is already present. Once you begin recognizing the nature beings, that awareness becomes your own, allowing you to continue developing your relationship with the living world wherever you walk.
Perfect for: Garden clubs, arboreta, camera clubs, parks, nature centers, and small groups.
Available Separately or as a Full-Day Experience
Many organizations combine the illustrated photography presentation with the guided field workshop.
The presentation introduces the photographs, stories, and observational techniques. After lunch, participants head outdoors to practice those ideas together, creating an engaging full-day experience that combines inspiration with hands-on discovery.
Curated Photographic Exhibits
Bring the hidden life of nature to your community through a curated photographic exhibition.
My award-winning fine art photographs can be exhibited in libraries, retirement communities, arboreta, botanical gardens, galleries, educational institutions, and community organizations. An exhibition may stand on its own or be accompanied by an opening reception, gallery talk, illustrated presentation, or guided discussion.
Together, the photographs and presentation create an engaging community experience that encourages visitors to return, look more closely, and continue the conversation long after the event.
Ideal for: Libraries, retirement communities, galleries, arboreta, botanical gardens, educational institutions, and community organizations.
What Nature Has Taught Me About Consciousness
What if consciousness exists in far more forms than we normally recognize?
Using photography and personal experience as a starting point, this presentation explores what the nature beings have taught me about relationship, intelligence, cooperation, and the living fabric of Earth. Rather than asking audiences to adopt a belief system, I invite them to consider a broader understanding of consciousness and our place within it.
Perfect for: Spiritual communities, lifelong learning institutes, libraries, universities, and discussion groups.
Dowsing as Relationship
Dowsing is often taught as a method for finding information. This presentation explores another possibility: dowsing as a language of relationship.
Discover how body dowsing and other intuitive techniques can deepen communication with the living world and help develop a more respectful partnership with the intelligence present throughout nature.
Perfect for: Dowsing societies, holistic organizations, energy practitioners, and advanced students.
Earth’s Other Civilization
Twenty Years of Dcumenting Nature Being Society
What if humanity is not the only intelligent civilization associated with Earth?
This presentation brings together more than two decades of photography and communication to introduce audiences to the remarkable society of the nature beings.
Who are the devas, guardians, grandfathers, grandmothers, elves, gnomes, and many others who participate in Earth’s living systems? What roles do they fulfill? How is their society organized? What values shape their culture? Most importantly, what are they asking of us as neighbors sharing the same beautiful planet?
Their message is remarkably hopeful. They believe that nature beings and human beings can become respected partners in Earth’s future. That partnership begins with relationship, understanding, and a renewed sense of responsibility for the living communities with whom we share our home.
Perfect as a keynote presentation for organizations interested in consciousness, ecology, spirituality, photography, and humanity’s evolving relationship with the natural world.
Your Garden is Listening
Building a Personal Relationship with Nature
Many gardeners already find themselves talking with their plants. Is it simply imagination, or could those quiet conversations be the beginning of a genuine relationship?
Through photographs, stories, and practical suggestions, discover ways to deepen your connection with the living communities that already share your garden. Whether or not you share my interpretations, you’ll leave looking at your own garden with fresh appreciation and a renewed sense of wonder.
Perfect for: Garden clubs, arboreta, botanical gardens, Master Gardeners, environmental organizations, libraries, and community groups.
