Solar Plexus

The Solar Plexus Chakra is also known as the Manipura Chakra (”The City of Gems”). It is located two fingers above the naval to the sternum, opening forwards and backward. This is the seat of will power: transforming, shaping, purifying.

More Information

The solar plexus chakra (also called the naval, third, or Manipura chakra) stretches between the downward “V” of the breastbone and two inches below the naval. This is the center of one’s “gut feelings”, housing the physical body’s energy and the spirit’s inner strength.  It is also located around the digestive organs, which connect with one’s ability to “digest” the world around them. Imbalances in this chakra typically manifest as exhaustion, overthinking, or nervousness.
