These seaweed-covered rocks seem to be carefully protecting the stone “eggs” lying in their midst. Like proud parents, the little enclave has their eyes fixed on these new members of the family! I found their focused attention very insightful.
I found these on a photo expedition to Hunters Cove, Acadia National Park, Maine.
This photograph won honorable mention at a Norris Gallery Exhibition.
The entire beach, early morning low tide, was covered with these seaweed beings. They were alive and happy in the warm autumn sun!
