This tree’s attention is focused on the convent located up the hill and to the right just out of this photograph. He appears to be drawing inspiration from that location…and also seeking to inspire those focused on love for all beings!

Nose Knows 2017
I am very fond of this tree and have photographed him over many years, tracking the changes that he had to adapt to as the convent where he lives was sold to a local preserve who turned this area back from manicured lawn to natural Midwest woodland. His strength of character remained throughout…his personality adapted.
He lives at the LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve in St Charles, Illinois.
