This graceful gingko tree grows in a small corner of soil in an apartment complex parking lot that is near a lawn and forest visited by deer. It is not a particularly peaceful home, as cars and people come and go, but the gingko has grown large and provides wonderful shade.

I thought – what if I could transport this gentle being into the woods nearby? It would be a visual journey for this tree, like a human taking a walk from their apartment into the woods. So I used the wonders of Photoshop to make this happen. Below is a tryptic showing the two scenes that I combined into the center form.

I call this image “nature beings art photography” as it is the merging of two photos into one.
