Birch Forest in Autumn
Sometimes it’s fun just to have fun…I was out on an autumn shoot and came upon this dapper fellow.
He stood out so vibrantly alive, even though a piece of detached bark, that it made me pause to consider just what is life and death, in any aspect of existence.
This is a piece of birch bark that has separated from its tree, which has physically “died”. But here he is, with a green, vibrantly alive third eye and a very alert expression. He appears to be focused on infinite spirit, on the cosmos, and his journey into a far distant, vast and entrancing destination…
To the left is the Birch Forest in which this spirit lives.
