The family of beech trees bordering the walk at the back of the great lawn at Longwood Gardens are a friendly bunch. Beech tree beings are generous, emotional folk who enjoy company, are protective and have a warm fuzzy feeling they emanate towards all. They generate a friendly, companionable energy for all the visitors to this popular Pennsylvania garden.
I am very fond of this Beech tree, who smiles at visitors with two sets of eyes – one set looking down at the children, and the other up at the adults.
Here are some studies of him, taken in early spring and summer.
