Hedgehog Cuteness

Basswood Hedgehog

Nature spirits like cute and cuddly just like humans do. Sometimes I come upon images of gentle animals in trees and rocks. There may be some serious subject depicted elsewhere on the canvas…but there seems to be time for kindness and sweetness as well.

To the right is a small hedgehog in a European Basswood tree, located at Morton Arboretum, Lisle, Illinois.

Just below is a fern and stone hedgehog located at the Polar Caves, New Hampshire.

Bottom right is a white stone hedgehog resting peacefully beneath a tree at Compass Harbor, Acadia National Park, Maine.

And below left is the cute little hedgehog himself!
